Hawkins serves as lead counsel for the City of San Jose, California in procuring a new, world-class biogas cogeneration facility, as well as related headworks and yard-piping improvements, on a progressive design-build basis. Advanced technology will be used at the cogeneration facility to meet existing and future power demands and replace aging energy systems. The projects represent the first use of alternative approaches to the delivery of public works improvements at the San Jose-Santa Clara Regional Wastewater Facility, the largest advanced wastewater treatment facility on the West Coast.
