Hawkins served as underwriters’ counsel in financing of a new acute care hospital and medical center facility, located in Mullicia Hill, New Jersey by Inspira Health. The new hospital features 210 private patient rooms, the latest in medical and communication technology, expansion of the emergency department, and a comprehensive cancer program. The financing consisted of a combination of publically issued bonds and a bank placement, thereby taking advantage of both the flexibility provided in a private placement and fixed rate cost certainty of a public issue. As the construction nears completion and plans for the transition from the existing facility to the new campus takes shape, the bonds have been upgraded to “AA-” by Fitch.
