Christina serves as bond counsel, disclosure counsel, and underwriters’ counsel on a variety of financings, including general obligation bonds, lease revenue bonds, certificates of participation, tax and revenue anticipation notes, and conduit financings for §501(c)(3) institutions.

Christina advises state and local governments, special districts, cultural institutions, educational institutions, healthcare systems, underwriting firms, and lenders on tax-exempt and taxable financings. She has represented clients on public offerings and private placements.

Christina has extensive experience drafting disclosure documents for public offerings. She works closely with clients in drafting the offering documents, and assists them in post-issuance securities law compliance. Christina also provides federal securities law training to staff of various governmental entities, including the City of Oakland and the City of Los Angeles.

 Before joining Hawkins, Christina practiced corporate law in the Philippines. She served as general counsel to various corporations, and has experience drafting and negotiating joint venture agreements, funding and investment agreements, shareholders agreements, licensing agreements, and asset purchase agreements.
